Trinity Test Scores

MAP Growth Testing

Trinity Lutheran School uses regular testing to measure the growth and progress of students throughout the school year. Trinity began administering MAP Growth testing during the 2016-2017 school year. MAP Growth tests are taken by students in Kindergarten through 8th grade three times throughout the school year to measure their knowledge in math and reading.

Students in grades 3-8 take the Smarter Balanced Assessment once a year in the spring to measure their progress compared to other students in South Dakota. Students are tested in both math and language arts. Language arts consists of assessments in reading, writing, and grammar.

During the 2017-2018 school year, 47 percent of Trinity students in grades 3-8 scored above the South Dakota average in both math and language arts.
