Weekly Activities

Word of God:
Each week, we learn a new story from the Bible. The children are able to interact with it and apply it to their lives by telling the story, doing crafts, and singing songs.

Curriculum:
Our classes and activities are geared to get the children ready for Kindergarten.
  • We have a new “Theme” each week that will tie together all of our educational activites.
  • We have Numbers, Letters, a Shape and Color of the month we focus on. We also focus on letter and sound recognition.
  • Weekly centers focus on pre-math skills, language and literacy skills, and creative arts skills.
  • “Circle Time” acquaints the children with the calendar, counting and alphabet practice, listening to stories, and singing songs.
  • We work on handwriting to give the children an opportunity to identify letters and numbers and practice writing them.
  • Woven into our day are social and emotional skills. The children learn how to play with other children and how to follow the routines of school.
  • We also do recess and snack time daily.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ~ Ephesians 6:13
