Christian Religion
Grades 5 & 6: This week we will be covering the stories “The Birth of John the Baptist” and “The Birth of Jesus.”
Grade 7: This week we will cover the topics "I Am a Person with a Purpose of Life" an " I Am a Person Who is Constantly Grwoing."
Math
5th Grade: We will be covering lessons 3-6, and will cover such topics as: using money to illustrate place value, comparing whole numbers, using the addition algorithm, and writing and comparing numbers through hundred thousands. 6th Grade: We will be covering lessons 3-6, and will cover such topics as: missing numbers in addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication, order of operations, and fractional parts. 7th Grade: We will be covering lessons 3-6, and will cover such topics as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division patterns, word problems, and working with decimals
Reading
Grades 5 & 6: This week the students will be reading the short stories Sonf of the Trees and The Smallest Dragonboy.
Grade 7: This week the students will be reading examples of fictional stories. This will include Bums of the Attic, A Crown of Wild Olive, A Crush, Dark they were, and Golden-Eyed.
English
Grades 5 & 6: The students will learn about sentences and sentence fragments.
Grade 7:The students will learn about kinds of sentences and subjects & predicates.
Science
Grade 5: The students will finish Chapter One: Classifying Organisms. They will finish the week reviewing for the chapter test.
Grades 6 & 7: The students will continue to take notes from Chapter One: The World of Physical Science.
History
Grades 5 & 6: The students will begin Chapter One: Beginning of Early Americans. Grade 7: The students will begin Chapter One: The First Civilizations.
