Extra-Curricular Activities
Trinity Lutheran offers a number of school-sponsored activities for students to participate in. Each activitiy is an opportunity to glorfiy our Lord in all we do. Some activities students are expected to participate in, others are optional.  For more information on each activity read below, or contact a teacher.

Hand Chimes
  • Grades 3-8
  • Rehearsals are held after school
  • Play in worship 4-6 times per year and on Night of Music

Forensics Night
  
  • Grades 3-8 read selected pieces to an audience 
  • Sudents receive feedback from judges
  • Held every year in November 

Spelling Bee/Geography Bee/Bible Bowl
  
  • Spelling Bee is for grades 1-8 (held annually in Feb.)
  • Geography Bee is for middle and upper graders (held every other year)
  • Bible Bowl is for is for middle and upper graders (held every other year)
 

Science Fair
  
  • Grades 1-8
  • Every year in March
  • Grades 1-2 do project together as a class
  • Grades 3-8 present their project individually 

Girls' Cheerleading  
    
  • Grades K-8
  • Practices held during recess
  • Girls cheer for select boys' basketball games

Girls' Basketball
   
  • Girls in grades 3-8
  • Practices held after school
  • Season runs November to December
  • Play 8-10 games and a tournament

Jr. Tornado Basketball 
   
  • Boys and Girls grades K-2   
  • Practices held after once a week
  • End of the year game or scrimmage
  • Held in December 

Jr. Tornado Volleyball 
     
  • Boys and Girls  in grades K- 2
  • Practices held after school once a week
  • End of season scrimmage
  • Held in November

Girls' Volleyball
           
  • Season runs January to February
  • Grades 3-8
  • A and B teams 

Trinity Lutheran Winter Classic
     
  • Upper grade boys' basketball tournament
  • Held every year in January in the Trinity gym
  
Boys' Basketball
      
  • Two teams (A Team - upper grades; B Team middle grades)
  • Season runs December - March
  • Games and practices are held after school

Music
 
  • Students in grades 2-8 have opportunity to take piano lessons during or after school
  • Students in grades 4-8 have an opportunity to take band lessons during school
  • Recital (Night of Music) held every year in April
  • Students can also sing, dance, or perform a musical instrument at Night of Music

Art Fair
 
  • Preschool - through grade 8 
  • Every year in April
  • Student chose selected pieces of art work for display

School Musicals
        
  • Preschool - through grade 8
  • Preschool presents a few musical selections
  • Every year in April
  • Each classroom presents a class play/musical 

Panther Field Day (Track Meet)
    
  • K-8 compete in track meet in Watertown at GPLHS
  • Classes practice during PE
  • Students select event they want to particpate in

  • Grades 1-4
  • Every summer in June
